FNB Joburg Art Fair 2016

Afriart gallery and Kampala Arts Trust are among the exhibitors at this years 2016 Joburg Artfair that is taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg from 9 – 11 September.

The 2016 Special Projects programme will manifest as an invitational section that spotlights the artistic landscape of East Africa. This will feature a selection of leading artists and art spaces from Kampala, Addis Ababa, Bujumbura, through Nairobi and Dar es Salaam.

As the highlight of this programme, 2016 Featured Artist, Wangechi Mutu (Kenya / USA) will be exhibiting a multi-media installation presented by Keyes Art Mile. Further solo presentations by Aida Muluneh (Ethiopia), Jim Chuchu (Kenya), The Nest Collective (Kenya) will feature alongside site-specific works by Serge Alain Nitegeka (Burundi) and Sanaa Gateja (Uganda), presented by Afriart Gallery.

Afriart Gallery presents: Sanaa Gateja, Eria ‘Sane’ Nsubuga and Xenson. 

Kampala Arts Trust presents: Henry Mzili Mujunga, Mukiza and Joseph Ntensibe.
