‘SANE’ Eria Nsubuga – The Colours of the Rainbow

7 september – 21 september 2012

The theme of this exhibition is inner and outer healing.

The artwork depicts the ROYGBIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Blue and Violet) colours and their relatives as symbolism of inner spiritual restoration and healing . This inner healing also springs forth outwardly to make the viewer well. Sane believes that the Spirit with which he has painted these works could literally heal the viewers of this art.

Some of these works have direct inspiration from the masters of the early part of the 20th century; particularly the Fauvist Henri Matisse, the Surrealists Joan Miro and the Bauhaus movement powerhouse Paul Klee.
