Art Paris: Mona Taha, Sanaa Gateja, Richard Atugonza

Afriart Gallery presents three artists from Uganda: Mona Taha, Sanaa Gateja, and Richard Atugonza. Coming from two generations of art making, their work provides a snapshot into the diverse visual language, artistic mediation, and subjectivities in the country. Whereas Taha's drawings enter a discussion of broader societal themes from the personal, Atugonza's and Gateja's practice is informed by several layers of community which manifests in form of the material itself and the production of their artworks.
