'Surfaces' is an artist discovery workshop by Afriart Gallery Kampala. During the workshop, a month-long master class is conducted by Ugandan painter, Henry Mzili Mujunga, in which he shares ideas and techniques with young artists.
In 'Surfaces 2', artists used different forms of art like drawings, paintings, sculpture and photography to address and explore gender, identity and rebellion issues. The artworks created during the workshop are now on show in an exhibition titled GIR (Gender Identity Rebellion) at Afriart Gallery.
