After more than 2 months of hard work and dedication, the artists of Surfaces 3 are now ready to present their work to the public. Afriart Gallery is thrilled to announce a group exhibition showing the work of no less than 15 artists who participated in the recently concluded workshop mentored by Henry Mzili Mujunga. Surfaces 3 took on the format of a critique, instruction and production workshop during which the artists and mentor meet once a week to discuss and develop their work.
Surfaces is a conceptual development master class organized by Afriart Gallery and mentored by Henry ‘Mzili’ Mujunga. Following AAG’s mission to act as an incubator for emerging talent from the region, the first two editions in 2017 and 2019 brought now established artists like Sungi Mlengeya, Richard Atugonza and Mona Taha, Arim Andrew, Ocom Adonias, and John Baptist Sekubulwa on the scene.
